Dr Lirong Liu is a Lecturer at the Centre for Environment and Sustainability, University of Surrey. She has multidisciplinary backgrounds in energy and environment, engineering management and industrial engineering. Lirong’s research focuses on environmental-energy-economic system analysis, Net Zero energy system transition, and climate change mitigation and adaptation. Lirong is Co-Investigator of the ‘Soilless cultivation for rapid bioenergy feedstock production’ project on socio-economic impacts assessment of this innovative technology, Principal Investigator (PI) of the Royal Society funded ‘Price Dynamics of Cloud Services based on Computable General Equilibrium Model’ project look at the price dynamics of cloud services through macroeconomic modelling, and PI in the ‘Heat4All: Economics-informed optimisation model for future-equitable-decarbonised-distributed heating systems’ project funded by the EPSRC Network+ Decarbonisation of Heating and Cooling.

Work w/ CUSP

Lirong’s current work with CUSP is leading the Horizon Europe project on ‘Wellbeing, inclusion, sustainability and the economy (WISE)’.
