Children and Youth in Cities—Lifestyle Evaluations and Sustainability Survey in Brazil
In a free webinar on Thursday, December 3rd, at 2pm Brazilian Time, the Akatu Institute will present the main Brazilian results of the CYCLES survey: Children and Youth in Cities – Lifestyle Evaluations and Sustainability. Helio Mattar, Akatu’s CEO, will highlight key findings from both national data and some relating specifically to São Paulo, on 12 to 24 years old’s feelings of happiness, satisfaction and positivity with life including aspects such as financial concern, willingness to practice activities and consumption habits.
The results help society and companies to better understand the lifestyles and aspirations of young people and, therefore, contribute to the promotion of more sustainable lifestyles.
The Akatu Institute is working with CUSP on the Brazilian component of the CYCLES study. CYCLES is an international study of the lives of young urban citizens aged between 12 and 24 years living in very different cities and contexts and has included both qualitative and quantitative research. In addition to São Paulo, the quantitative study was carried out in six other cities: Yokohama (Japan), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Delhi (India), Christchurch (New Zealand), Makhanda (South Africa) and Lambeth, London (UK).
The webinar will be conducted in Portuguese and will include the participation of Andrea Mota, director of sustainability at Coca-Cola Brasil, who will give the company’s vision of the relationship between young people and sustainability.
