Over the past three years, the Lambeth CYCLES Team has been carrying out research in Lambeth as part of an international research project, Children and Youth in Cities: Lifestyles Evaluations and Sustainability (CYCLES) exploring young people’s urban experiences and ideas for living fair and good lives within environmental limits.

The CYCLES project is developing findings for city planners, local authorities, community groups and businesses who are interested in improving the quality of life for young people in their cities. So far, the project has produced two reports.

The Lambeth CYCLES team is now looking for young people living in Lambeth and aged 12-15 to complete a 15-min survey. The survey is a continuation of previous research but also seeks to explore whether young people feel they can have a say in matters that concern them in their city. The team is seeking help from Lambeth secondary schools, youth clubs, local groups and organisations in supporting the delivery of the survey to young people.

The survey can currently be delivered online. The Lambeth CYCLES team is also considering possibilities for delivering the survey on paper depending on the institution’s preferences and on the Covid-19 guidelines in place. If you have any questions, are interested in supporting the survey, or would like more information, please contact Anastasia Loukianov at cycleslambeth@surrey.ac.uk.
