Dr Theresia Harrer

Theresia Harrer is a postdoctoral researcher at the Hanken School of Economics in Finland. A former PhD researcher with CUSP, she is working within our politics and organisations research strand.
Theresia Harrer is a postdoctoral researcher at the Hanken School of Economics in Finland and a research fellow at the GreenFin Hub at Middlesex University London. In her work, she investigates how sustainability accounting and reporting can help rebuild trust in and accountability of organisations. Theresia received her PhD from Middlesex University London in which she focused on trust and legitimacy dynamics in alternative financing instruments such as impact investing and crowdfunding.
As part of CUSP she has also contributed to various research projects investigating the relevance and effects of sustainability reporting for Cleantech ventures. Her work has appeared in the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research Behavior, the Journal of Applied Accounting Research and Venture Capital: An International Journal of Entrepreneurial Finance. Theresia has an academic background in accounting and finance as well as entrepreneurship. She has also held research and teaching positions in Germany and Austria and is chartered as a Certified Risk Manager according to the ISO31000 from the Austrian Standards Institute.
