Strategy and impact measurement workshop

Repositioning your Social Enterprise for new realities

Lagos/Online 16-17 July 2020, 12pm (WAT)

Update, 14 Aug: A summary of the event can be accessed on our blog page: Acknowledging new realities for Nigerian social entrepreneurs | Workshop reflections by Adeyemi Adelekan and colleagues.

. . .

Social enterprises need to run a good business while also finding ways to have a positive impact on people and the environment. With the long-term impact of the current crisis on global economies yet to be understood, these enterprises are more likely to suffer after the lockdown due to severe constraints to their operations or even bankruptcy. What will this mean for social enterprises in Nigeria and how do you prepare your organisation for this potentially new reality?

This virtual workshop will help social entrepreneurs reflect on their strategies and the impact they make. The aim is to work on adaptive approaches and explore better ways of measuring and reporting impact, necessary to compete for social investments. It will draw on expert knowledge from academics and practitioners, who have experience of social enterprises and impact investment around the world.

You can view this year’s list of speakers and facilitators here: bit.ly/Viewspeakers

Participants will benefit from:

  • A panel session on the potential impact of the pandemic on social enterprises globally and in Nigeria now and in the future;
  • A reflective session to help articulate and adapt your organisational strategies, as necessary;
  • A unique and tailored way of measuring and reporting impact to attract funding;
  • A practical hands-on tool to help align your strategy with impact measurement.

So, do you self-identify as a social enterprise? Do you have a core social and/or environmental purpose aside from commercial objectives? Are you actively running a social enterprise in Nigeria? Then this workshop is for you. Register to attend below!
