The End of Growth?
Evening debate, Monday 28 Nov2016
In a world of environmental and social limits, is there still a role for economic growth in delivering a sustainable prosperity? Join us on Monday the 28th November 2016 as we will host Federico Demaria, Graeme Maxton, Jørgen Randers and Kate Raworth for an evening debate at the House of Commons, chaired by Caroline Lucas.
The APPG on the Limits to Growth has launched a landmark debate in the Houses of Parliament. In a world of environmental and social limits, is there still a role for economic growth in delivering a sustainable prosperity? We are particularly pleased to be joined for this debate by Federico Demaria (co-editor of Degrowth – A vocabulary for a new era), Graeme Maxton (Secretary General of the Club of Rome), Jørgen Randers (co-author of the 1972 Limits to Growth study), and Kate Raworth (author of Doughnut Economics). The debate will be chaired by Caroline Lucas.
