CUSP director Professor Tim Jackson has been appointed to an international advisory council for Ernst & Young’s New Economy Unit (NEU).

Established to reimagine corporate sustainability for a regenerative economy, the Unit is a new research and insights team established within the EY Global Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) practice.

The team will aim to engage researchers and practitioners through sharing ideas and co-creation, working towards bringing about a more equitable and liveable future.

Reflecting on his appointment, Professor Jackson said: “I am delighted to be part of Ernst & Young’s new New Economy Unit. Transforming the economy and reimagining business models is essential if we’re to meet our climate goals and achieve sustainability.

“The Unit’s approach is very much aligned with the multidisciplinary, collaborative ethos of CUSP and it will benefit from our long-standing expertise in researching the economic, social and political dimensions of prosperity for people and planet.”
