Will Davies is Co-Director of the Political Economy Research Centre at Goldsmiths. He leads the CUSP theme on meaning and moral framings of the good life.
Will Davies is Co-Director of the Political Economy Research Centre at Goldsmiths, where his research investigates the history of economics, neoliberalism and the sociology of elites. He is author of The Limits of Neoliberalism: Authority, Sovereignty and the Logic of Competition (Sage, 2014) and The Happiness Industry: How the government and big business sold us wellbeing (Verso, 2015). His latest books include the edited collection Economic Science Fictions (Goldsmiths, 2018) and Nervous States: How Feeling Took Over the World (Penguin, 2018).
He has worked for various think tanks on topics including corporate governance reform and co-operatives. He is author of Reinventing the Firm (Demos, 2009), All of Our Business (Employee Ownership Association, 2011) and co-author of Blueprint for a Co-operative Decade (ICA, 2012).
