MOJGAN CHAPARIHA
Research Fellow
Mojgan is a PhD Visiting Scholar in the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University. Based at the University of Lisbon, she is working within our systems dynamics theme.
Mojgan is a PhD Candidate in the Lisbon School of Economics and Management at the University of Lisbon (Portugal) and a Visiting Scholar in the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University. She is currently pursuing her PhD studies under the supervision of Olivia Bina (Lisbon) and Peter Victor (York).
Mojgan’s research interests include the understanding of the linkages between macroeconomics and ecological economics, and the development and application of ecological macroeconomic modelling. Furthermore, she is investigating the use of system dynamics models to measure progress in reaching Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As research fellow with CUSP, Mojgan works with Tim Jackson and Peter Victor on the stock-flow consistent ecological macroeconomic simulation model of LowGrow SFC; calibrating it for the UK. She holds an undergraduate and master’s degree in economics from the University of Isfahan.
