Dr Joanna Masangkay

Joanna Masangkay is a former PhD candidate with CUSP, based at the Centre for Enterprise, Environment and Development Research at Middlesex University. She working on our politics & enterprise theme, examining calculative practices and socio-environmental accounting procedures in hybrid organisations.
Dr Joanna Masangkay is a research fellow based in the Centre for Enterprise, Environment and Development Research, Middlesex University in London; and former PhD candidate under Prof Fergus Lyon’s supervision. Her research project is situated within the CUSP theme on Political and organisational dimensions of Sustainable Prosperity, assessing calculative practices and social/environmental accounting procedures in hybrid organisations.
She holds a double BSc degree in Medical Science and Business (Accounting) from University of Technology, Sydney (Australia). Prior to her move to the UK, she held an Associate Lecturer position in the Australian National University and University of New South Wales. Other research interests are within the areas of sustainability accounting, management accounting, the social enterprise context, organisational strategy, control systems, and organisational behaviour studies.
