Alise is a visiting student researcher within CUSP. As part of her work placement, she is exploring social entrepreneurs’ attitudes of sharing versus protecting their ideas and practice, and the direct and indirect implications of this on the ‘limits to growth’ agenda and achieving sustainable prosperity.

Alise Kirtley works independently on a variety of projects that aim to support people living with dementia, their family and professional carers, to flourish.  Alise has worked as a Culture Change Manager and Practice Development Consultant with care homes; lead training and awareness workshops; lead and contributed to research for the Mental Health Foundation, Innovations in Dementia, The Bigger Boat for Ageing and Dementia, and My Home Life; and is a visiting researcher at the Centre for Creativity in Professional Practice at City University to support the development of digital technologies to enhance person-centred dementia care. Alise has a BSc in Physics and a BA in Music composition, and is now studying an MSc in Sustainability with a primary interest in human wellbeing and ethical, responsible business development. For her own wellbeing, Alise is an active musician, hiker, and community events organiser.
