Webinar
Re-imagining a New Economy that works for all people and the planet.
Online | 6/7 October 2025
Wellbeing feels out of reach for many. Join the authors of a new CUSP working paper that explores why this is and an alternative economic model designed to deliver wellbeing for all. Drawing on research and practice from across the new economy field, you’ll find out:
- The evidence for what wellbeing might look like.
- Why the current upstream design of the economy leads to downstream outcomes that take us away from wellbeing.
- Foundational principles for a new economy that is designed to serve people and the planet.
- The interdependent functions of civil society, states, business and finance in a new economy.
The webinars will also provide an opportunity to debate the implications for you, your organisation, sector and the economy.
The aim of the paper is to offer imaginative scaffolding for rethinking the economy—helping to spark public debate on the outcomes we want, and how to design for them. The work reflects consensus built at a London workshop with leaders from multiple new economy schools of thought, alongside voices from civil society, government, business, and finance.
