Dr Seán Fearon

Seán is a research fellow at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (ICTA-UAB), and former CUSP researcher on the WISE Horizons project, exploring the relationships between consumption, time-use, wellbeing, and environmental pressure to model sustainable lifestyles out to 2050.

Seán worked as policy advisor in the Oireachtas and the Northern Ireland Assembly and undertook his PhD at Queen’s University Belfast. His research interests include postgrowth policy, modelling, sustainable consumption, and critical postgrowth political economy (particularly in relation to the Irish postcolonial growth model).
