Olivier Malay is a PhD student in economics and business at the Hoover Chair of Social and Economic Ethics, at the University of Louvain (UCLouvain), Belgium. During his time with CUSP, he was working on the potentials of a better articulation of business and macro level indicators in order to foster a socio-ecological transition.

His research is about the economic side of a socio-ecological transition, with a focus on transports (free access to public transports, railway liberalization) and on well-being and sustainability indicators (beyond GDP indicators, CSR indicators).During his stay at CUSP, he is working on the potentials of a better articulation of business and macro level indicators in order to foster a socio-ecological transition.
He holds degrees in economics, sociology, politics, and political philosophy.
